A Special Note to Parents:
We welcome you and your child to the Intermediate school. Check the teacher pages periodically to get the latest information from your child's teachers. Please spend time with your child after school. Go through their backpacks and check 5th grade agendas daily. Ask them what they learned in school today....they love to talk about their classes and new books they are reading!
STAAR testing starts this year and replaces TAKS as the academic progress measure. We will host a parent night October 18th, at 5:30 p.m., to give you more information about the STAAR testing.
Thank you for all of your support! Our Wildcats continue to excel, and we look forward to another superior year!

Special Note to Parents:
On January 3, 2012, one of our lunchroom monitors, Karen Doty, successfully performed the Heimlich Maneuver on a student who was choking on lunch. Students surrounding the choking student notified her and she quickly jumped into action to help out this student. Please help support our efforts during our lunch periods to maintain order.
Attached is a recent story from The New York Post that had a tragic ending.
